Who can be a Police Unity Tour® Rider?RIDERS must be a sworn law enforcement officer, active or retired. Immediate family members of law enforcement officers killed in the line of duty (survivors) may also participate as a rider. All participants must be at least 18 years of age.
Who can be a Police Unity Tour® Support Team Member?SUPPORT TEAM members must be an active or retired law enforcement officer, an immediate family member of an active or retired law enforcement officer, survivor or sponsored by a current rider. All participants must be at least 18 years of age. Civilians who are employed or affiliated with law enforcement agencies and related organizations or possess specific training or skills required to safely and effectively assist the organization may also apply.What are the dates of the ride?Chapter IV leaves Richmond on bicycles on May 10th and ride through until May 12th. The Candlelight Vigil is on May 13th.
How much does it cost to participate?Members are required to raise a minimum of $1700.00. All members are required to submit a non refundable and non transferable $125.00 registration fee with their application. $75 of that fee will count toward your fundraising goal. All donations are tax deductible.
Members must raise a minimum of $500 by January 31st, 2013 in order to remain in active status, or risk losing their spot on the roster.
